a) Leverage the Intellectual excellence beyond boundaries of a classroom/conference room through creating facilities of Virtual Classroom/Smart Classroom. b) To strengthen computer labs in each colleges for better access to curricula content delivered through smart classrooms to overcome the time and space constraints c) Capacity building of Faculty to improve their domain knowledge through National and International trainings

A digital classroom concept works in tandem with their vision to adopt to world class education practices for their students and teachers. As the world becomes flat, open, and reachable with digital classroom, opportunities to interact with worldwide entrepreneurs, industry and foreign universities increase.

Students Benefit

In brief, the proposal shall enable the University to further raise its bar of Academic Excellence through the Quality Improvement Program.

The proposed intervention envisaged to maintain/promote academic excellence amongst students through utilization of expertise available remotely. The knowledge integration of digital content, recorded lectures shall enrich students with cutting edge learning. The main hypothesis of academic excellence and capacity building amongst students is to introduce them to best practices that are being followed elsewhere in this open world and to allow them to interact with those change-agents (Professors) who can boggle these young minds with excellence and innovation in their own research areas. Apart from promoting academic excellence, the proposed facility can also bring about research excellence through collaboration with industries and institutions of world repute. All these networking will bring about professional competitiveness and encourage students to excel in their career.

Benefit for Agricultural Development

The 25 acre (approximate) of instructional farm is allotted for faculty of Agriculture with entire irrigation facility, grain storage and threshing facility.

One integrated farming system unit and one fishery unit are also available within this instructional farm. This farm is utilized for practical classes, demonstration fields and institutional and PG research. The farm is also well-equipped with number of essential farm implements and machineries. Approximately 50 acre of instructional farm is allotted for the Faculty of Horticulture. This farm is utilized for practical classes, demonstration fields and institutional and PG research plots. The farm is also well-equipped with number of essential farm implements, irrigation facilities and machineries, protected structures, including hi-tech green houses to low-cost poly-shades and shade houses to ensure exposure of the students to different technologies and their implementation at practical level. One mechanical workshop for the Faculty of Technology is present there with 822.51 sq.m. area.
